Coconut Water

Added coconut water to my smoothie this morning but didn’t use it all – wasn’t sure what to do with the unused portion as there are no instructions on packaging indicating storage procedures on unused portions.
In an effort to find out I stumbled on this link which contains a lot of info….
General consensus seems to be refrigerate unused portion for no longer than 24 hours -OR- freeze and add to smoothies!

The possibilities seem endless ~
A confessing Sugarholic…I understand the need to drop the dreaded white stuff from my life and move on to the whole foods provided since time began.
With that in mind; I’m looking with excitement to the days, weeks and months ahead!

I created a drink this morning that is the first I wanted MORE of!! So yummy – and so good for me!
To try it yourself put in a high speed blender the following:

1/2 frozen banana
1 fresh mango
6 frozen whole strawberries
1 cup coconut milk
2 swiss chard leaves (large)
1 Tbsp psyllium husk
1 Tbsp. powdered hemp seed (I had hemp seed and ground in the coffee grinder)
1/2 Tbsp flax seed oil
1/2 Tbsp. maca powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
dash cinnamon
dash stevia
3 ice cubes

Blend until smooth and Enjoy!!
